The initiative of the City of Salerno stems from the positive collaboration with Turin, where the luminous works of art have become an important tourist and commercial attraction. Salerno and Turin, cities of art and light, both ancient capitals of Italy, thus give life to a luminous artistic twinning strongly desired by Salerno Mayor Vincenzo De Luca and Turin Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. An enchanted thread runs through Italy, arousing emotions and creating a magical atmosphere from November and until January 31.
The "Luci d'Artista" in Salerno, feature works already applauded in Piedmont and new works commissioned directly by the City of Salerno for the city. These are artistic lights hundreds of meters long that feature sophisticated lighting technologies.
