The Sella Pass connects the Fassa Valley with the Gardena Valley along state road 242, which in 12 km leads from Canazei to the pass, located on a grassy saddle separating the Sassolungo group from the Sella group. Among the most famous passes in the Dolomites, it is dominated by the splendid Sella Towers and the Mesules barrier. Unforgettable is the panoramic view of the 3181-meter-high Sassolungo group. In winter, the Sella Pass area is strategic for fantastic skiing of all levels and difficulties, on slopes such as those of Col Rodella, Belvedere or the Sellaronda skitour. The Sella group, high, compact, bordered by towers, a bit flat at the top, is a favorite destination for ski-hikers with the ascent to Piz Boè at 3152 meters above sea level, to embrace with the gaze the peaks that have marked the history of international mountaineering.
